British and International Commissions of Inquiry in Mandate Palestine

Presents the main findings and recommendations of the various British and international commissions, reports, and conferences organized as a prelude to the Mandate or during the Mandate period. They came as a response to increased Palestinian unrest and revolt due to a general desire for national independence, fears of increased Jewish immigration, and suspicion of the ultimate intentions of the Mandatory Power.
