Recounts the most significant developments in the negotiations between Israel and Egypt regarding Palestinian autonomy in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The process, which was launched with the signing of the 1978 Camp David accords between Israel and Egypt, ended four years later with Israel’s rejection of a US proposal (the 1982 Reagan Plan) for Palestinian autonomy.
